In 1997 at the age of 17yrs,he met Kebba Taylor a big producer and guitarist who has contributed a lot in the Gambian music industry who also help him a lot, to sing on stage with the accompany of some musical instruments, he started to have the feeling and desire for live band performance.

His first single entitled “GESTU LEEN” means LOOK BACK which was produced by Elie Nachief of Yellow Gate Studio in 1999 which gained him much recognition.

Still in 1999 Pa Omar was working at Gamtel in which he got the chance to met another music producer Lamin Manga who was working at GRTS as TV broadcaster, who featured him one of the best musical program called extra touch and was his first TV appearance, that’s were he got recognition from him and started to worked with him in producing commercial jingles.

Lamin Manga Proprietor of Uniquefm is presently the manager of Pa Omar jack and DJ Abdou Njie is his international manager, both of them have contributed immensely in making him what he is today.

In 2001, he met Leon Prom one of the veteran musician in the Gambia who helped him to sing in programmed especially at the hotel venues during tourism season , from there Pa Omar gained more experience in public performance with live band.

In 2007 it was later sponsored by N.A.S to released his first album in the market entitled NINIYO means SHADOW and the album became super hit both national and international level. Later pa Omar formed a band call Group Jeff Jell which is the current band. That’s were Yaram Arts and Culture featured him in the 2007 carnival held in U.K.

In 2008 Pa Omar released his second album entitled LOVER METER were he got more achievements in his career

Pa Omar travel to Scandinavia for a European tour which was organized by Dabakh Promotions in Sweden. Today Pa Omar Jack is one of the best Mbalax musician in Gambia representing Gambia internationally in the genre of Mbalax the traditional music in Gambia West Africa.
